To support this growth, the Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR), an influential international sourcing and trading platform for the automotive aftermarket, is committed to fostering sector-wide innovations. The 2024 edition of the show will return to the National Convention and Exhibition Centre (Tianjin) from 20 – 23 March, and aims to provide a full-service supply chain platform for businesses within the automotive aftermarket. The show is expected to welcome over 1,200 exhibitors from around the world, and will span 100,000 sqm of exhibition space.

AMR 2023 to stimulate Bejing-Tianjin-Hebei automotive aftermarket this week
The Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) will be held in the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin) from 23 to 26 March 2023. Running on the growth of the automotive aftermarket in China over the last 40 years, the fair has become an annual platform for the industry in the Jing-jin-ji (Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei) region and the rest of the world. Previously held in Beijing, the fair’s new location in the port city of Tianjin marks nine years since the government’s pledge to coordinate the development of the Jing-jin-ji area.

Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and China National Machinery Industry International Co Ltd (Sinomachint) will continue making significant contributions to the automotive industry by partnering on more trade fairs across China. Nearly two decades under their remit, the companies have grown Automechanika Shanghai into an influential exhibition in the automobile industry. Moving forward, they will co-organise the Auto Maintenance & Repair Expo and Auto Aftermarket Guangzhou to nurture opportunities in the respective regions. The cooperation marks a presence in three of the country’s six major automotive manufacturing bases in the Yangtze River Delta, Circum-Bohai Sea Economic Zone and Greater Bay Area.
Messe Frankfurt reschedules CAPAS 2022 and Auto Maintenance & Repair Expo 2022
In view of the evolving pandemic situation in China, the Government has escalated a number of COVID-19 prevention and control measures. To align with these efforts, Messe Frankfurt is rescheduling two of its Mobility & Logistics fairs in the country. CAPAS Chengdu will move to 18 – 20 August 2022, instead of the original timeslot (19 – 21 May 2022). In addition, the Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) will be held in Tianjin from 23 – 26 March 2023 (in place of 27 – 30 May 2022).

After several discussions with various industry parties, the organisers of the Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) have decided to push the show back by two months, given the evolving state of the global pandemic. From 27 to 30 May 2022, the event will ring in a new era at the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin).

On 24 June 2021 at the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin), the Tianjin Commission of Commerce, Messe Frankfurt Asia Holdings and the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin) announced the establishment of a new strategic alliance. The cooperation marks a new chapter for exhibition business in Northern China based on the guidance and support of the Tianjin Commission of Commerce, and the global network and exhibition resources of Messe Frankfurt. Together, the partners plan to develop more international branded trade fairs and events organised at the National Convention & Exhibition Center (Tianjin). The Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR) will be the first trade show organised by Messe Frankfurt held at this new and modern fairground in 2022.

Following a period of extensive planning and consultations, the organisers have confirmed that the fair will now take place in spring, from 24 to 27 April 2021 at the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC).

Messe Frankfurt has announced that two of the company’s Mobility & Logistics fairs in Asia have been postponed in the wake of the recent Novel Coronavirus outbreak. The two events include Automechanika Ho Chi Minh City (AMHCMC) and the Auto Maintenance and Repair Expo (AMR), which were originally scheduled from 5 to 7 March 2020 in Ho Chi Minh City and 15 to 18 March 2020 in Beijing respectively.
